Hey everyone,

As you can see, I am pretty new here. I'd like to get to know everyone better.

Anyways, I'm posting this to try and get a better understanding and ask a few questions. I am totally new at console hacking (but I learn quick).

I am coming into possession of a 3.55 Rebug CFW PS3, and I have a regular PS3 on 4.20 OFW. Is it possible to host challenge lobbies (and the such) online? If someone could point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

(PS Please point out if I did something wrong in this post as it is my first.)

@xKEA_Killerfier Hello, nope you can't. Only chance you have go online with your OFW PS3. Since on CFW, you can't.

I heard there was a way to use 2 PS3s to go online? Something about a data travel. I wasn't really paying attention as it didn't affect me till now. Am I wrong?

data travel? nope you can't since the one you have one with CFW = No PSN access. And the OFW you can go online and play (PSN access).
Unless you use both of them with xlink (there's a tutorial) but is for play on LAN.

Its called Data Transfer. And you will loose all data on the OFW ps3 other then the data you transferred.
If all your gonna do is host Challenge lobbies then give me the 3.55 PS3 I can use it a lot more and for what it was made to do.

I could do that. Or you could go get your own.

And on that note, yes I will be hosting CL,but I'd also like to learn more about hacking/modding.
