In most cases it doesn't matter what region the game is compared to the update fix. You can edit the game installations param.sfo to the other region and the patch will then work 99% of the time regardless.

Most duplex rips are BLUS anyway in my experience. Check out a release place like NFO rush.

use sfo editor and read the sfo file

Some sites offer pre fixed downloads, if not search for the right fix once you have the game. open MM and hit "game settings" to see the BLUS or BLES info, or like @carldenning said open the SFO to find out.

Admittedly it would be useful to find out before you download, but pirates cant be choosers.

Like I said the ones I downloaded were US from duplex. MW3 is the latest example.

Perhaps duplex do multiple rips from multiple regions.
