INSTALL ROGERO 3.3 or 3.4

@james28909 . I am a little tired, so back me up here. I just instructed him to flash HIS untouched bios from 4.21 and then downgrade to rogero. I have done this multiple times, with no problem. Just want to make sure I am not sleep typing here.

I was unaware that you didn't have to flash 4.21 bios. I guess that makes sense, since you are unlocking the downgrade.bin with the bios. Learn something everyday.

flashing 4.21 untouched then the 4.21 untouched + e3_downgrade.bin gives you the exact same product as just flashing 4.21 untouched with e3 downgrade.bin, therefore you can skip just flashing 4.21 by itself. the only reason i would even do that is if you had the original hdd that still has the same ROS0 and ROS1, in that case it would boot back to xmb without installing any firmware.

once you flash 4.21 untouched + e3 downgrade.bin, you power the system off and enter FSM and downgrade.
you can use a completely brand new unformatted hdd for this too, or the original hdd.
when you use an unformatted and unpartitioned hdd, it will quick format it right before installing the firmware during the actual downgrade process.

i like the bricked ps3's from ebay that have a good backup. i make people from ebay send me the dump before i buy it. the last one i got was for 20 bucks, and i fixed it and resold it for 375 bucks

@james28909 I do the same thing. And you just saved me a step. I have bought over 10 ps3 on eBay and fixed them. I'm new to this, but it has been fun. I currently bought 2 rsod ps3 to try and give them a shot. I fixed one, and it is now on 3.55 ofw and hasn't given me anymore trouble. The other one I fixed, with the pkg file, and it came back, so now I am just gonna install debug on it, and hopefully that will work. But yeah. Cheap ps3 on eBay rock. They have become a little more scarce tho in the last month. I have only been buying and fixing for two months, but this month hasn't been a good one to buy.

hey guys a little off topic but seem like you guys are very knowledgeable with e3 flasher.. I have a ylod ps3 from trying to go dex->cex was having fun and really wasn't caring if i bricked wanted to get a e3 flasher anyways and now i have a valid reason will it be easy to fix this brick? see that i have the dexflash.bin and the cexflash.bin? i tried using factory service mode to flash back the cex flash to my ps3 and it would never flash it then when i exited fsm it was ylod.. I have a fat nor ps3.. which version of e3 should i get? i'm buying from here thanks guys and could you possible give me a link for a good e3 tutorial you guys use?

edit: is the limited edition worth it? just prob going to be using it with my 1 nor ps3.. my nand aren't going to see dex lol one is on 4.21 ofw and the other on 3.55 cfw..
