Pls help with 8002f271 error after downgrading from 4.20 DEX

Okay so here is the story.

Got my new slim running 4.20 DEX, decided to downgrade to 3.55

Did the normal 3.55 downgrade pup
Installed MFW 3.55 22GB Others for DEX
Ran Setup VFlash for OtherOS.
Rebooted into Recovery mode to (option 4 or 5 the format option)
It formatted 3% then error 8002f271
Now the 1.3TB drive I was using will not format. Always the same at 0-3% Error 8002f271

I have used multiple drives.. 80gb, 250gb, 160gb, 1TB, 1.3TB
I have checked all these drives on Windows Easeus Partition master.
I have tried with both FAT32 and NO Partition.
I have tried with NTFS

I have tried this
Type "diskpart"
Type "list disk" - get the disk number for the drive we are cleaning.
Type "select disk 1" - if the disk is not #1, change this accordingly.
Type "clean"
Type "create partition primary"
Type "select partition 1"
Type "active"
Type "assign"
Type "exit"
Type "exit"
I have tried everything.

I have an E3 so I may be able to reflash from an earlier backup...Im not sure.

I do know I need help and have been googling that error code for 4 days to no avail. Please help.

Thanks for the response.

I was using a guide that had a 3.55 downgrade and 3.55 CFW for after downgrade. Everything worked fine, downgrade was a success, installing new CFW was a success, the problem came when I ran setup vflash for otheros, I rebooted into Recovery, choose to restore (I cant remember actual name, but I have done this enough times, the option right above upgrade) to formate the hdd for otheros. It went to 3% and errored with the above error. and since then NO hard drive is working.

To sum up:
Downgrade DEX 4.20 - 3.55 = Success
Install CFW 3.55 (22gb Otheros peek poke ect) = success
Format hard drive to install otheros = fail
any hdd since = fail
any FW DEX 3.41 - 4.20 = Fail

Frustrating.

I have old backups of my flash, but that just causes a brick or no response at all.

4.21 OFW/CEX Backup = Brick
3.55 DEX Backup no boot at all to anything
3.55 Rogero CFW/CEX = no boot at all to anything

So I have backups, the one i am at now and the three above. I am stumped, cant upgrade or downgrade...

EDIT: I am now flashing back to original state and will keep trying to format a drive, any drive.

I read somewhere in my searching that this specific error means the ps3 stopped communicating with the usb device for update (Meaning the USB drive that has ps3updat.pup), is that true?

I wish there was a lvl2diag downgrading procedure for dex

Last question before help reply

Can I leave the SBE to PA0 NOR Tristate wire in place?
Or should that be removed? Because after the brick and trying to reflash it is not booting on anything, but that wire is still in place, should it be removed is it preventing booting?

Okay another update, back up the 3.55 CFW DEX (OtherOS22GB), Used cobra to go into FSM and put lvl2diag and 3.55 DEX downgrade files on root of scandisk cruzer and its doing a LOT of activity, one can only hope right???

EDIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay anyone having this super annoying problem do the following (I used Cobra)

STEP 1: Have a FUBAR PS3 Where every single HDD you put in it gives ERROR 8002f271
STEP 2: Go into FSM (There are many guides on this, I used a Cobra USB)
STEP 4: Put lvl2diag + 3.55DEX Downgrader PUP on the root of USB Stick
STEP 5: Put in right-most USB and power on PS3.
STEP 6: Wait for PS3 to do its thing...PS3 will power down on its own.
STEP 7: Put Step two lvl2diag on root of USB stick (only this file)
STEP 8: Plug stick into right-most USB power on PS3, wait for PS3 to turn off...
STEP 9: Profit
