ok i got a few games running nicley still on default settings

tekken 5 was around 50 fps
Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 was perfect
so im guessing most fighting games will e fine

GTA san andreas was playable but i could notice it lagging then speeding up
ratchet and clank wasn't really playable

thats all for now

im still running on pretty low GFX, GTS 450 so DDR 3 sh!t
should be upgrading in the next month or so, i need something with more CUDA. so we'll see how it go's then

I kept the default settings, changing only the "ps2 original resolution" to custom/1024

Ookami runs without perceptible framedrops (and with no bugs in some textures like in 0.9.8.)

FFX, X-2 and Raiden 3 runs flawlessly, with no framedrops

No sound crackling running Ecco and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness

Ace Combat Zero still unplayable (black screen after the aircraft selection menu)

Wipeout Fusion, GOW1 and GOW2 are still unplayable on my modest PC, running at 20-30 fps, but most games I tested run with some performance gain compared to 0.9.8. Probably if i mess with the configs , the games that don´t run well would be perfectly playable. But I kept the default settings to serve as reference.

My system:
q6600 quad (@2.4 stock speed)
8 GB RAM (3.25 usable, 32bit OS)
HD5770
Windows 7 32 bit

I'm running almost the same system except I got 64bit Win7
& a 1GB GPU.
Its definitely our CPU letting us down.
I was going to try my Ace Combat games later so you've saved me that
Bloody Roar 4 works nice, Legaia 2 also.
Will try GT4 later.
As was said DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi works great now with no screen jitters which made it unplayable for years.
Oh all the Final Fantasies work good to
Really breathed new life into these games

so please keep "teh-skeen" peace!!! (some would know what that is).

n00b questions, do all games require special attention of config in the emulator?
Not a noob question, a good question. Was the first thing I tested

i tested the following games with stock settings and all ran fine on my i5, gts250, 8gb ram

Devil may Cry 1, 2, 3
Metal Gear Solid 2, 3
Alone In The Dark 4
Medal Of Honour - Frontline
Need For Speed - Hot Pursuit
Resident Evil - Code Veronica X
Resident Evil - Outbreak 1, 2

Twisted Metal Black Froze at the menu for some reason. So that may need some messing under the hood. But from what i can tell, compatability has DRASTICALLY improved

For the time being, like I've suggested earlier, try overclocking it up to 3.2GHz or higher until you two can get newer hardware that tears PCSX2 a new @$$hole!

Yeah I'm gonna try and OC it tonight.. my only problem is, its in a HTPC case and its been modified to fit a 2nd 2TB drive in.. Needless to say, ventilation is a problem.
Might be time to get the dremel out and cut me a new fan hole on top

As for those asking about special settings etc. Go to the pcsx2 website and you will see a tab that gives a rundown of how to set it up.
Just stock it runs it pretty well like a standard PS2.. you wanna turn AA on and boost the resolution up to really see how beautiful your PS2 games can look!
