Help Please! Gran Turismo 5 update 1.13 not working!

So I posted up my first two method attempts in the thread below and received no help and now that thread has become completely derailed so I figured I'd try and get answers with my own thread.

http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=40826&page=12

In my first two attempts

My first try:

Update 1.05 contains ALL update data from 1.01-1.04

1.05
1.06
1.07
1.08
1.09
1.10
1.11
1.12
1.13

4) Install my patched 1.12/1.13 multi update
5) Run Game

REMEMBER YOU CANNOT MISS OUT ON ANY UPDATES OR GAME WILL NOT LOAD !!!
REMEMBER post feedback on results THANKS YOU!
I just tried this with BCUS98114 on my 3.55 KMEAW firmware and can confirm it does not work for me. The game looks like it's about to boot and then it gives up. I then get the following error message:

"An error occurred during the start operation (8001003C)".

When I delete game data and lose all the updates, it works fine again...
My second try:

I just tried this method as I previously mentioned, the other method did not work for me. This method did not work for me either. Again, the game looks like it's about to boot and then it gives up. This time I get a different error message:

"An error occurred during the start operation (80010017)".

When I delete game data and lose all the updates, it works fine again. Anyone have any ideas as to why this seems to be happening? Just to confirm, I do have a Blu ray game disk in the drive, so the error does not relate to this.

Now I'm totally confused as to what I should be trying now? the other thread seemed to discuss modifying eboots and .bat files? I'm a total n00b when it comes to this so I would be really grateful if one of the pros on here would point me in the right direction...

Why open a new thread about this, when you obviously took info from threads covering this issue already?

Are you running a spoofer?

I'm sorry DNB, I did try to get answers in the other thread but it was going in a different direction and no one was answering my own question. No, I'm not using any spoofer. Should I be?

Also, I have another issue which I haven't disclosed before. Back when 3.55 was the only firmware version updates we could have, I updated my game version to 1.10. Of course, the game didn’t boot as the update was patched with a 3.60 update requirement. As with everyone else at the time, I deleted my game data to remove all updates and all was fine to play the game again.

However, when I tried to update back to 1.09 (the highest update we could get on 3.55 before) I would always get these 8001003C errors. In the end I just updated to 1.06 and kept it there (as 1.07+ would cause the 8001003C error when I tried to boot the game. I’m not sure how relevant this information is to the problem I’m having getting to 1.13 but I figured a pro might be able to link this to my problem.

Thanks in advance for any help any of the pros on here can give me!

Are you running the game internal or external?

I always find a spoofer helps the process (no asking for updates etc)

Running the game from the internal hard-drive. It never asks for updates or anything, just fails to boot after it's been updated!

Without the updates, can you apply the old gt5 3.55 fix and it works? (trying to figure out if the dump is bad, rather than the patches and fixes.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the 3.55 fix for GT5? I got Gran Turismo 5 running over 6 months ago so I can't remember what I did, but I would assume I have applied that fix as I can run it fine without the updates from my hard-drive on firmware 3.55...

Lol yes, if it works then its fixed IIRC.

Have you downloaded all the correct updates for your region game 1.05 to 1.13?

If they were wrong region they would instal to wrong directory... although I dont think this is the case, but its worth a check?

I have this one BCUS98114 and it works.

Here's BCES00569 just in case you have the EU version.

My copy is BCUS98114. That's what it states when I go to select it on multiman. I can assure you guys that I haven't updated with European patches or anything, they were all patches for BCUS98114. I will try the fix you have posted here though alienkid.

I update up to 1.12 of official patches and then use this fixed 1.13 update right?
