Well, I tried it last night and I can confirm that the fix for GOTY works
but I've only tried the Ryder White dlc and there's some issues or bugs in it like there's some weird reflections on the floor. Like there's some kind of a water reflection on the floor even though there's no water. I'm running it on external by the way on TB CFW2 2.7

Ok guys, for all of you who are trying to play Deus Ex Human Revolution and keep getting a black screen here is how I got mine working without having to install any update package:

1. Download 1.01 update using PS3 Game Updater
2. Extract the package with PkgView
3. Edit backup param.sfo to ps3 version 3.55 using param.sfo editor
4. Copy eboot.bin from package to scetool folder
5. Decrypt eboot.bin (I use SCETOOLGUI cause it's easyer)
6. Enable encryption and encrypt eboot.bin.elf setting SELF TYPE to APP and KEY REVISION to 0A
7. Rename eboot.bin.elf.self to eboot.bin
8. Copy eboot.bin to USRDIR of your backup (not the extracted from the package) be sure to make a backup of your original eboot.bin just in case
9. launch game with multiman by pressing SELECT + X to set External BD Emulator (works with external)
10. start the game from xmb

hope this helps you guys, it worked for me.

P.S. I also used this method for Dead Island and it also works from external, it might work with other games.

hey how do I get modern warfare 3 to work? I installed first the update and then moved the files. All I get is a black screen. My game is BLUS
