I use mkvmerge, to split mkv files.

The PS3 media server, I linked is for steaming video from your pc to your ps3. No need to split with that.

like i said before , mkvtoolnix , it's a free program
and why not use mkv2vob it will also split the file and you can play the movie on any ps3

EDIT: mkvmerge is a part of mkvtoolnix

EDIT: mkvmerge is a part of mkvtoolnix[/Qi tried mkv2vob it has a problem with my windows xp ( give me error) ,, also i dont know how to use mkvtoolnix.. i searched on google and i found a long eplainations ,, i need a simle way as iam not good at media issues

maybe the ps3 mediaserver is the easiest way then, i used mkv2vob for ages on xp, never had a problem, you could try to find an older version.
