OK, I have kind of problem. See th pic:
![]() Which offset do I have to change exactly? Because in this tutorial as well as the other one I saw, the zeroes offsets are different. I tried to make it just like this tut, and it indeed showed another partition in ps3gen, but said - Image broken. Then I decided to format the "image" and everything went fine. After this I builded my GT5 image and the process went smoothly. However the PS3 didn't see the default fifth partition, so I formated the whole HDD, to make everything how it was. That's why again I have 4 partitions and the offsets are 00 00 00 01 (no games in them, which is normal, since the format). So now I wanna start over. Any suggestions how to make it right this time?

I hope one day we will be able to use any ext.HDD without formatting with PS3 HDD Utility.
The reason is : I dont use my 1TB ext. HDD,because I dont want to lose my files. Therefore I use my 250GB HDD from my Netbook formatted with the PS3 Format thingy. But before school starts , I have to install WIN64 BIT back on the HDD from my Netbook or my teacher will KICK ASS me ^^. |

Lol, I formatted, because I don't care about what I had on the HDD, and it was easier for me to start over.

I've made it. Just had to re-format my HDD again, and then everything went fine. Added 2 more partitions.

Over at ps3crunch someone is saying that this works to some degree at least for 5 games (wow!
), he\she tried 10 games but got errors as soon as data starts being written to the drive.@benzinjiq any chance you could give this a thorough go with more games to see if it works? thanks. |

@baargle
Well, as a matter of fact, I indeed tested first with 10 games and it gave me writing error, too. Now I've made 6 partitions for games and put games to two of them - no problem so far. Will try more and report.

Ultimate development for this would be:
1) Windows/linux tool that asks how many partitions you want. 2) Prompt for same size for each partition, or different size per partition. 3) Does not destroy pre-existing data on partitions when re-sizing (this may be difficult). That would be awesome. |
