I m sorry because it will not help at all your problem but can i ask you why you still need to use Cobra?

The only thing you can not have from other is may be to load psp iso.
Other than than,
ps2 emulator was release recently.
Loading eboot from network or with blueray not working: cex-dex
blueray movie regions free: you can make it easily by adding fews patchs to LV2v9

Again, i know it s not what you expected as answer but you might consider the cobra cfw is not necessary anymore so advanced ( may be one thing with recent news and broken fix, you might have fews fix for 3.60 working when regulars cfw will display a error but it s just because the fix wasn t done properly)

@SkateTrash420

The main two files you wanna worry about are:

Cobra USB Firmware v5.0 (what you install on the usb dongle)
Cobra CFW v3.55 (what you install on the PS3)

Go here:
http://tortuga-cove.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=464

Scroll down to "Installing driver"

Follow it to the letter and you should be okay unless you corrupted the dongle previously.

@Ada Love Lace

Cobra is not for those who want to use the PS2 emulator. It's at it's best when used on a BC PS3 with the EMO Chip.

Loading eboot from network or with blueray not working: cex-dex
IF, that's important to you.

This.

I think the whole "PS2 emulator released" thing has got some people very misinformed...easily the best way of playing PS2 backups as they should be on a PS3 (and as you said, definetly with a 100% PS2 hardware backwards compatible PS3) is with a Cobra dongle.

************* [ - Post Merged - ] *************
THANK YOU so much you just made my day i got the cobra to pc v2 drivers to install from the link you gave me....thanks again its greatly appreciated
************* [ - Post Merged - ] *************
ive got 1 more quick question...is there suppose to be a loading bar or % when installing the cobra fw onto the usb using the cobra flash.exe....i read and reread where to put the drivers for he program and have got it working but when i drag the cobra fw into the black box theres no sign of it installing it just says the name of the file and gives me the option to press enter to quit....ive taken the drivers off deleted the program and used the installer for the program 3 different times...im not sure if the fw is on the usb or if the program is even doing anything...really all i need this dongle for is fsm...but im going to take a wild guess and assume that i will not be able to enter and exit fsm without the cobra fw loaded on the usb....thanks again for all the support this has got to be the most frustrating thing ive tried to do in a while especially considering the fact that what is happeneing here shouldnt be this ridiculous to do i mean installing drivers and fw wow cobra dont make it too simple

Updating Cobra USB firmware
To update Cobra USB firmware, just drag and drop the update file into the cobraflash program.
Wait for the update to complete and when asked, press ENTER to exit.
It is important to not remove the device while the update is in progress.

that is str8 from cobra-usb.com pdf tutorial on how to update usb fw on pc doesnt really help 2 much the program always gives you the option to press enter to exit...i mean this is a very important step here i dont want to try and enter and exit fsm if theres no fw on it...bc my guess is it wouldnt do it..worst 60$ i ever spent i should have bought a fat bag instead .
