The thing is, this is exactly how something like hacking passion is born. From keeping "dev tools" away from people how would the dev community grow? I think people have lost track of what is important. Instead of blowing a device wide open so that anything is possible, people just want to make names for themselves.

If I didnt take apart/break/fix all those computers when I was young I would have never known what I know about PC's with the amount of detail I do (no textbook can compare). No one said to me "You not getting any computers they are only meant for people who know computers".
