I recently updated my console to 4.21 too play a little online,and yes i have a e3 flasher but now am trying to downgrade it back and when i start the downgrade process the log output says metldr not supported.!!!am i sol or is it something wrong with my e3 flasher....plz help someone.

Did you make 3 good dumps? might be corrupt?

Its the 4.21 nor backup i have can u validate it with folwbuilder as i thought was only a 3.55 nor backup u could do it with....i will upload it anyway.

thats the only one i have...i will tyr to update my console again and do a backup again,then i will get back to you.

After you reseat the clip, get a good backup, and downgrade again:
Make a backup on 3.55. And get a spare hard drive to use for 3.55.
Then you can half dual boot.
You would just have to flash whichever backup you want to be on. And use the correct hdd accordingly.

If it keeps failing, instead of try to re-flash do this:

1010000 (1 up = 0 down) to see if you can do a backup to an EMPTY sd card.

Report back.

read 0:e3_downgrade.bin at 0x00000000 ... OK.
erase PS3 BIOS at 0x00040000 ... OK.
write PS3 BIOS at 0x00040000 ... failed.
Program Nor failed.

Make a backup of the nor, with 3rd switch up and the rest down.
That will let you know if the clip is on good.
