google ps3devwiki minvercheck for if your ps3 is down-gradable.

Look under your PS3 on the serial label: if it says 300x etc then your PS3 is a 3k series, you are out of luck, they are not down-gradable.

Have transfered ultimate marvel vs capcom 3 (EUR) to Games folder on ps3 HDD using flashfxp, installed 3.55 EUR fix, using latest multiman the game starts, does some checks but then it says to play this game I must install, when I try to install it stops at 7%, what am I doing wrong???

no. true blue eboots will only work with trueblue firmware.

When I try to update my ps3 with the PUP file, it gives me an error message that the data is corrupt. Am I doing something wrong? All I want to do is downgrade my 40 gig fat ps3 to fw 3.55 to remarry the logic board on the BD and the motherboard. I don't want to jailbreak my ps3, I don't mod or anything like that. I just want the new BD to function with my ps3 so I can keep playing the Uncharted series. Help??
