you can install Sonys 3.55 firmware anytime to unjailbreak... but dual booting a cfw and ofw requires a hardware flasher and some other **** I know very little about

Install 3.55 ofw, install 3.55 kmeaw = jailbroken

Install 3.55 ofw again over kmeaw = unjailbroken

Install kmeaw over 3.55 ofw again = you guessed it, jailbroken

No need to dual boot just for that.

Understood. Its easy to just ignore a thread tho. And it takes more energy to type a nice and nasty rant about using the search function than it does to just answer the question... you'll feel better after helping someone too

Im all for helping people, but on this subject, i think i will just ignore now as people with eyes can look and search, and it saves me getting pissed at these noobs who cant be arsed to search.

Don't get me wrong .. even though most people can read, they can still be scared, almost each human being needs some confirmation, even though they are doing the right thing, humans and certainly noobs desire some confirmation before they throw their-selfs into the deep and no offense but isn't the basic idea of these threads.. providing confirmation as help towards these people?..

I know it can be frustrated but this is 'sadly' what this thread is all about.. Don't expect some genius question in a noob thread, I am not saying it won't occur but I am just saying the chances are rare.

Anyway if you do want to solve this problem, you should try to deal with it at the source, before a user can register, make sure he passes a playstation 3 basic knowledge quiz. Implement at the signup form the threads he must have read and if he or she didn't, he or she won't be able to answer the quiz questions so won't be allowed to register an account .. If you want to make it water proof, make check-boxes and yes or no questions and if someone phail their test, tell them they can only retry after 24 hours for example.

I am just saying so people don't care ... but some are just afraid and desire a personal confirmation

Question: My Factory version is: 3.40 but my current firmware version is 4.21
Banner mentions 3.20 as the latest downgradable version

So can I still revert to 3.55 by doing a system factory restore, or not?, sorry, but it was just a little unclear for me

Why would you need a flasher, if a flasher is actually just a USB stick with some files on it, you just need a USB flash drive right and aren't able to download the files, BTW I have also checked where I could get a flasher, Belgium wasn't that popular .. So .. I hoped there was a workaround

I found this, still I don't trust it

LOL!!!

Come on man!

I thought you read the banner.

That guide for downgrade you linked is fake. You can not downgrade from 4.21 without a Hardware Flasher.

Hardware Flasher = Click here.
You will also need a USB flash drive.
And a device to enter Factory Service Mode = Click here.

You will also needs some brains, and the ability to follow directions. And understand what you have read.
