UPDATE : Console Shuts OFF after removing IHS
Hi,
When, I switch on my ps3 slim, nothing comes to the tv. So I did a reset by holding the power button for ( 6 sec's ), but it didn't work I did try to enter the FSM,but nothing shows up on TV, the one thing I noticed is that whenever I switch on the console, the fan fires up ( it rotates at its max speed ) So, I replaced the thermal compund with Arctic Cooling MX-4, the result still is same. Please HELP EDIT : Here's a video of the problem PS3 Slim not showing up on TV - YouTube UPDATE 2 : Re-flowed the both RSX and Cell B/E Chips( Without removing the heat spreader ), Results are the same, fan fires up and RLOD. Tried alternate set of cables?
If not the RSX sounds cooked

Do any lights flash or change colour at start up? does it beep a number of times?

Sounds like the fans are kicking in high! I would say its over heated and the RSX is busted
