Also, when I open it, it asks for dc_boot.bin and dc_flash.bin. Been looking for a while to download them but don't know from where. Apparently I should have a dreamcast and get them from it but mine got somehow lost when I was on vacation

Yeah mate wkd, normally file crop for those sorts of files, bins etc.

I thought chankast was meant to be decent , but tbh I havent played about with them for absolutely months

I personally like Makaron, despite it not being very friendly. But it depends on the game ... generally the nullDC is easier to use and has an excellent compatibility.

You're a player in the scene so I guess that blame can encompass you as well. Squarepusher2 might know how to code and surely does have a reason to be sour when regards to not getting a real DEX, but he's very arrogant and starts problems where none exist. As for a PS3 N64 emulator the PS3 is far superior to tiny little phones and could easily run a properly ported one. I guess it comes down to how good the author is at programming. Nothing personal, but I've yet to see a N64 emulator on a console that was actually playable other then the XBOX1. If the XBOX1 can run Mario 64 at full speed I see no reason why the PS3 couldn't play 20 Mario 64's at the same time with full speed. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't seen a close to decent N64 emulator for these "next gen" consoles.

Also, isn't EmulateMii those guys from the Wii? The Wii devs who tried to port PCSX and a N64 emu to the Wii? If so I'm not going to hold my breath.

1. Emuparadise.me is the best place for BIOS files
2. EmuCrimsonRain (emucr.com) is the best place for grabbing the latest emulator versions
3. Chankast is now crap compared to nullDC/Makaron (I prefer nullDC now), especially when Chankast is really buggy with split-screen multiplayer games AND the emulator has been discontinued!

One thing is certain, the scene emulators on ps3 would be even worse without the work of squarepusher2. The problem there is an emu 64 is not the developers but the fact that no one make a cfw with support dynarec 64.

why hate on squarepusher?... as the guy above me said, without him we wouldnt have such good emulation as we have today. so what if he is a little arrogant? in the ps3 community he IS actually a notch above the rest of us who dont do **** but dig for scraps. be frakking grateful for his work... i think he is a ok guy.. he wasnt exactly "above" me when i reported some issues on one of his emulators in its early stages.

oh, and square.. if you read this: GET THE **** BACK TO WORK ON RETROARCH! i love it! :P its actually THE most genious emulator idea ever.

Emu_kidid said recently they are still working on N64 emulation and a progress update from emulatemii is "seriously: just around the corner". Hopefully this will be for ps3 n64 emulation too.
