Really? I got the 3k limited and I didn't get it. I had to order the clip suit.

Maybe they started including it later.

They don't say it comes with it on modchipcentral

@playerkp420 I got mine from modchipcentral. Did you get the 3k limited? I bought mine I wanna say like 4 or 5 months ago? Something like that. Also, I got another linker with the nor clip suit which I got straight off the boat for $21 free shipping.

i just ordered the downgrade set as i figured i didnt need the hdd holder as i have an ext 2.5" that i will use instead but i didnt see anything about the linker mentioned in either kit so didnt think twice about it not being part of either kit

If you decide you really want the e3 linker for your guide, let me know. I have one and I would be glad to send it your way, if you cover shipping. But beware, I am pretty sure that when you solder the e3 linker to a mobo, I think it marries itself to that board. I think at it also marries the flashers onboard nor too for dual boot and such. Maybe @playerkp420 can answer that.

yea your right it does link it to the first ps3 its connected to for fast duel boot.
but the console its being installed to it is staying in. i am doing a free fitting service as the guy wants the E3 and has given me permission to show images of his console in my guide (i wanted to do one first for the guide and buy a new one for his but as it takes so long to ship to the uk i gave him the option)

and yes i will cover the shipping + whatever you want for the linker.

You can unsolder and use it on other ps3s. You just use the Samsung 10.28 update.bin.
It is the flasher that gets married to the first PS3 you use.
The linker is just an alternative to the clip. It does the same thing as the clip. Except you solder all the wires yourself.
I can see why you would want to leave it in the PS3 though. Those solder points are so tiny, I couldn't imagine having to solder and unsolder it everytime. LOL. I guess I'm just spoiled with the clip.

The clip does get worn though. I have broke one, and luckily I had already ordered and received the nor clip suit. I need to order another clip now, so I have a backup.

But yeah, I got my 3k Limited edition in Dec. 2011, from coolgadgetgifts.

I have the e3 linker and i can make my gd friend solder it for my but do i still have to solder tristate nor to keep ps3 on if it doesnt stay on or does the linker automatically does it for u?

i am almost positive the linker includes that solder point that you need to stay on. As long as there is an sbe point on the linker itself which there should be, then it will allow you to stay on while in flash fun mode. I am at work so i cant look at the linker i have to see if it has the sbe point on it.
