Hey, I have opened up my ps3 4 times now and still no sucsess. I placed the 10/28 samsung update on my micro sd card and placed it in the e3 flasher, then I took 1 and 2 down and the rest up, then I turn'd on my ps3, the green lights and the red one on the side of the blue lights lit red. But no blue lights, I took out my sd card and then took all the switches down and pressed start, then the 1st light and the 5st and 6st light lit up, maybe it was 6 and 7, I am not really sure. When these lights lit up it means too bad connection to the nor, which I don't really know how to fix. I have cleaned the nor legs and the clip with alcohol, but it doesn't work either

As you can see, I also taped the nor with really strong tape.
I really hope someone can help me out with this one, it's so lame to waste 130$ :/ So, yeah guys, hope you can help me out

If you have a bad connection with the clip the led will not *wave* at all.

Really? What's the 1-5 and 6 error then? I use a sandisc 8gb micro sdhc card, I just bought it so I don't see why it won't read the data from it :/
In playerkp420's toturial he recommended 2gb or less, but unfortunately I only got a 8gb, well, I got 2 512's too, but they didn't work either. Also, I got a 2gb lexar Professional sd card, but I have all my camera pictures on it, so I don't want to lose them.
Also, at the beginning nothing lit at all, but I opened my ps3 taped it like that, and all lights unless the blue ones work'd, they do work, because when I have the levers in any other ways then 1 and 2 down and the rest up, it says 1-3-5-7 lit first then the 2-4-6-8 lit, like one seconds between, and so on, that means it's waiting for a commando right?

Do something:

1) Use a blank SD card (the one you own)
2) 101000 (1 means UP 0 down).

Doing that will do a backup to your SD card, to discard problems.

Oh well, I have to put my ps3 back to parts first, will report back when tried, thanks!
And yeah, I always use a blank sd card

@annern55 if you dont want to take my advice that it is fine. I am the one who tried to help you on skype. I told you what the 10001100 error means. It means fail to initialize nor which is 9 out or 10 times a badly seated clip. I also told you that the first time you use the e3 clip, you will be taking the ps3 back apart 5 or 6 times to get it right. I did, and it eventually clipped correctly. You need something like some hard foam or coins to apply constant pressure on the clip. If you tape something about 1/2 inch thick on the backside of the clip, then when you put the ps3 back together it will sandwich the coins or foam between the board and the rest of the ps3, applying constant pressure to all side of the clip. Another thing I was thinking of since we could not get it to take an update is, they just found out there are e3 clones on the market that don't seem to work too good. Does your e3 flasher board say 1319 on the back or something like that? Any numbers on the back at all?

I did follow your advice, I placed a coin on it and taped it real good, but that didn't seem to work, so I placed a little higher thing on it so it gets constant pressure like a paper thing I folder over many times, and yeah, on the back it says 1312!
I am almost finished putting my ps3 back.

If it says 1312 it is a clone not official E3 flasher.

Where did you buy it?

@annern55 i wasnt trying to be a jerk. It just seemed like you totally diregarded what i said to you on skype. Now that i know you have tried to put constant pressure on it, and we learned about the clones, it seems the problem is something else. You got a clone and those dont seem to work to well. That is most likely the cause to all the problems including the fact it wont update. Hopefully someone who has a clone can chime in and let you know what they did to get it working or if it will ever work. Good luck

Uhm, I bought it off a norwegian site called: www.konsollservice.no, it said Official e3 flasher, do I have the rights to complain? They said it was bought right off this site: http://www.arcalide.com/e3-flasher-dual-boot-p-511.html
I tought that was illegal, buying things and selling it more expensive :/

Yeah, I understand, I had a hard time understanding what you told me though as my pc sound is really bad. I really hope someone else who got a clone of the e3 got it working and will help me out, thanks for all help though, if it won't work you think I can sell the eseta station and the downgrade dongle atleast?
