I really have a hard time placing myself.

I feel that I'm both a little bit of country, and a little bit of rock.
At one point, I'm an insane cheapskate, and I'm greedy, while at another point, the point I want to earn money, is so that I can help each other >_<

I like the idea of communism, but only in its purest form. In a practical form, it would never be able to exist, there will always be one or some guys with the power, and power corrupts
I like the idea of liberalism, I hate all the monitoring and shrinking of our personal freedom, I embrace internet anonymity and freedom. I like the concept of low taxes as an incentive to for more people to start business's and for people to work harder. But at the same time, some people will not be able to work, work hard, or even just survive without help. And I feel the biggest shoulders have a responsibility to carry the heaviest weight, but it cannot be expected that people would feel the same way, and not just hoard all the money for themselves, and feel above/better than others :|

I guess, what I usually vote is just what I believe is needed at the time the voting goes on, with an unbiased view of things... 2 elections ago, I voted conservative. 1 election ago, I voted in the completely different lane of the street, when I voted for the Socialist People's Party, since they were socialists and imo had the best environmental politics and I felt we needed new blood(having hard a liberalist+conservative government for 8 years by that time)...

Life sure is hard... Just avoid voting for the madmen! :|

I'd list myself as a liberal/progressive populist.

I believe in equality for everyone, regardless of gender, color, income, sexuality, etc.
I believe we should be investing in education and science, and not so much in defense.

I also believe the wealthiest Americans should be asked to pay their fair share, instead of passing the burden onto the poor and elderly.

As I'm an American, I really can only speak about our political system here.

My opinion in politics is not to have an opinion (to a certain degree) and Im very proud of my ignorance in the matter. I will say though that anyone who is in power lets it go to their head at one stage or another. Its human nature at our not too finest and there will never be a politician that pleases everyone and no matter how bad/stupid they are, their positions arent effected by peoples opinions of them

However when it comes to a president who is running a certain country, who before being told otherwise in court, believed that a shower can cleanse him of aids, that to me is just an example of what Im trying to say. Because that guy is still a president believe it or not
