What you said about the PS3 is in a panic sounds about right.I also enquired about this. He did tell me that he has a dump of my original bios.The model number is CECHL04.I will request that he send my console back and to upload the original dump and then try another repair service.I live in south africa though so options are a bit limited.

I dont know if it works,but you have to ask it someone who has knowledge about the ps3.
I wanted to say to you that I have also CECHL04 PS3 80GB Modell which I converted to DEX and my NOR Flash DUMP is correct.
If you want the dumped Flash , I can upload it for you.
If I did understand , you dont have a backup of you Flash,so maybe you could use mine!?

you cannot use the dump of a different console other than your own. as it will brick.

i am just answering this in a simple way as i dont want to get into the in's and out's of the dump as its not relevent to the opening post.

ok well aslong as it is your consoles dump then you will be fine.
if you send your console to someone else for sorting then direct them to this thread and ask them to make a fresh dump of how the console is now just incase you have been given the wrong dump back.

also you could tell this pro to look at this thread and also mine HEREtell him to look at the progskeet nor guide at the end of that guide it has the de-hashing + all the files he needs to do it.

hopefully he will finish the downgrade and give you a refund
