Use the flasher you have. The e3 works just as good. The teensy++ is the same as a e3 flasher, just different brand essentially. Follow playerkp420 guide to downgrading with e3 flasher. It will def. fix the problem.

When you turn on the ps3 it asks for 3.56 right? You aren't bricked, you are in an update loop, so you won't be unbricking. I am pretty sure that you follow the guide as if you were just trying to downgrade. Are you able to do a bios dump? If so, have you and verified that your dumps are good? I know a decent amount about the e3 flasher, but @playerkp420 , who made the guide, he is way more knowledgable than me. hopefully he will respond. I don't want to steer you in the wrong direction.

On a side note, are you posting a flasher on eBay? There is a guy I am talking to on there and his name is Erik too.

i already have the E3Nor flasher.
what is the function of teensy++ ?
Teensy++ is just another nor flasher but its cheaper and more durable. The side effect of it is that you have to solder all the wires as there is no clip for it.

That is most always the clip not seated good enough. I know you may think it is seated good, but that error is probably 99% of the time the clip not properly making contact. Clean the clip legs and the nor legs with 90% or more isopropl alcohol and make sure you have something like coins taped to it to apply constant pressure to it. The other 1% of the time, it is the clone. Check the flasher for e numbers 1312 on it. If it has those numbers, you been duped.

The clones are extremely rare. His clip could have gotten damaged when he was putting it on.

That is true as of now. I am afraid That it may be more common in weeks to come. You are also right about the clip. OP, take a good look at the clip legs and make sure they aren't mangled.
