Try cleaning the lens with some isopropyl alcohol first, i`ve had success with this only once, usually its a dead lens and needs replacing.

Is this is correct? are you saying the PS3 has 2 lasers pointing at one lens? and it switches laser depending on PS3 game or dvd put in??? are the 2 lasers built in together? So confused I wouldnt have thought they would need 2 lasers...

The backward compatible models have only a single lens.

Take a look here.

Hmmm I have a problem first :D
I saw that my ps2 disc and audio disc are working
But My Blu-Ray Disc with original game has some DEEP SCHRATES

What Should I do ?? Open The PS3 ?? Try a new disk blu-ray ?? Can I use a blu-ray movie to test the BD lens ??
And at your link on WIKIPEDIA My model CECHA 01 (ps3 fat 60gb) says that it has only 1 lens (SINGLE LENS)

Yeah, try another game or blu-ray movie.
You can get scratched games fixed at your local video store.

If it won't play blu-rays, but will play dvds. Even after cleaning the lens, it is most likely your lens is on its way out.

Isopropyl alcohol, get the 91% stuff from your pharmacy. It worked once for me but usually the lens needs replacing. There are different types on different models of ps3. If your going to attempt to replace it yourself get the number off the old one first, it will be 400AAA or 450ACA or something like that. Make sure you get the right one
