Holy crap! it worked! here is what I did:

1- Downloaded latest Max Payne 3 update from PSN (v1.05 / FW 4.0)
2- Made new PKG with the provided "Anon" EBOOT.BIN + PARAM.SFO
3- Installed PKG normally.
4- Replaced original backup "common.sdat" with DUPLEX's one (EBOOT.BIN was not touched)
5- Loaded normally with multiMAN
6- Happy ending!

I am currently uploading the tested BLUS30557 PKG and will make the BLES00942 PKG in just a moment!

Max Payne 3 - Update v1.05 [FW 4.0] - Patched for CFW 3.40+

Here you have the PKG files for easy install of this awesome "Anonymous" collaboration! (thanks to @hellsing9 to for providing with the files) This is really cool since maybe more 4.0 FW games will be patched in the future by this Anonymous person! Thanks!

US Patch [ BLUS-30557 ]

Installation instructions:

1- Download your specific PKG (US / EU)
2- Install normally from XMB.
3- Replace the original "common.sdat" from your untouched backup with DUPLEX's one ( duplex-mp3ebootpatch.part1.rar | duplex-mp3ebootpatch.part2.rar ).
4- Load with multiMAN normally.

This is the latest update of the game, "fixed" for lower firmwares from 3.40+, so basically you will enjoy the latest improvements that the game developers made to the game in this release (v1.05) on your CFW.

This is for the regular version of the game, BD Disc version to be specific.
