I believe @deank could develop this but I think he is devoted to mM. Which is amazing.

Are developers (Andreas Öman & Mattias Wadman) of Showtime members of PS3Hax? If they are they could help develop it!
I believe deank could do it. It could probably be incorporated into mMcm.

DeanK could develop it but after much thinking, It be much better if it was a standalone app. Why?

mM resets the game launch directory every-time you starts/exits the mM. Hence, a user could play the game. Exit the game. Sync Saves using "PS3Dropbox" Exit the app. And still continue launch the game from XMB.

Standalone would be best, but deank doesn't do that. He incorporates it all into a single bloated program. I like things to be standalone... Helps a lot in making things run smoother and also troubleshooting problems.

"Cloud save manager" I can see it added to MM, this is a great idea, who else could we approach to make it happen?

@samson ? @PsDev ?

What’s the fascination with the spyware? I must say savegames are my least concern when it comes to storing in dropbox...

Standalone app is the way to go I think. It will be more compatible with various CFW and DEX.

I believe it is not a fascination. I believe this app could bring amazing convenience and possibilities.

Is credit card info, personal security number, bank account or residing address stored in the game saves? Nope. So I believe it is perfectly safe to store game saves on dropbox or similar cloud services.

Thanks.

I have not tried shoutcast app. How does it work? Incorporating into XMB will be great but it might have limited features. The XMB's sidebar menu only can do so little thing. But if the Standalone app does both, it will be awesome!

It's even easier than I thought with a script. I just tried an idea I had there (not on the PS3) and it works fine.

You get to a shell (I'm thinking of AsbestOS/BootOS for PS3) run 2 lines:

Code:
zip -r /dev_hdd0/game/CFW-CLOUD/saves/gamesaves.zip dev_hdd0/home/0000000X/savedata/*

wput /dev_hdd0/game/CFW-CLOUD/saves/gamesaves.zip ftp://USERNAME:PASSWORD@URL:PORT/gamesaves.zip
First line zips all your saves, second line uploads it to either a local FTP server (using Filezilla server on your PC) or set up a free FTP server online (FreeWebHostingArea.com).

We could jam those 2 lines into a .sh which we could try run by loading Petitboot, then auto shutdown or boot back into XMB.

Anyone know how to get Petitboot running without needing a majority of OtherOS++ patches on the MFW? Just so it'd work with everything, maybe even up to 4.20 DEX..

I know it's not Dropbox, but it'd be a working POC!

Sick @Mistawes . It would be great to be able to upload the zip to wherever you wanted. Even your home computer rather than online incase of those without internet, but want to back up.
