help with GFX card

ok finally got up the cash to finish my build (for now!) iv been gearing towards the gtx670 evga FTW but have recently found out that some games with split monitors have issues with not enough vram.

my question is fairly simple
i dont want to run games in with more that one monitor but this is handy for many programs i use. will running a multi monitor setup (no more than 3) strain a 2gb card while rendering?

the reason id like the 2gb over the 4gb is the is for the OC capability and it has a higher clock anyway

Hmm at the combined resolution of 3 monitors (guessing 1080) that would strain most if not all cards today (single) But should be fine resolution wise, rendering wise it may lag depending on game and settings. If possible disable surround gaming feature, that way the games will only render in a single monitor (guessing you want center). Although if done take note that the other 2 screens will blank out whole gaming (in fullscreen).

id be rendering 3Dvideo files and fractals
and only one of the monitors will be 1080p the other is a ****ty crt and a little LCD thats bloody ancient, so games wouldnt even look nice on the 3 screens anyway

So if I understood you correctly, rendering on one monitor while the other monitor you browse the net or something?

If just rendering there wouldn't be any problem. But if you're rendering on one monitor then playing a PC game on the other there's a chance.

I hear yah same reason why I bought my 3x 1080s myself but unfortunately I broke 2 of them lol (was trying to combine them together to make the bezels less annoying - for gaming). Now I'm stuck doing most my work on a single 1080 lol, owells. If you need any further help just ask, I'll try to help where I can
