Heres a guide for those you want to setup kai using ICS(internet connection sharing) on a second LAN card in your pc.

But it works fine using a router as well!

here is my setup:

Router connected to PC via LAN.
PS3 Connected to Router via LAN.

on internet settings on PS3 first choose Easy>WIRED then use automatic(important!) on everything else.

Turn off PS3

Start Xlink on PC

Turn on PS3

you should see a dns error on the PS3.

Then enter a lobby of your choice on xlink kai,continue to your game and play using LAN.Voila!


I cant stress enough how important it is to set your PS3 on Easy>Automatic.Thats the only way i got mine to work an it was so easy!

I play on Xlink kia for a long time now also XBSlink ,but i connect to xbslink using both xlink kia + xbslink after i get connected to xlink kia .So basically you get connected/detected on xlink kia ,once your ps3 has a stable connection you fire up XBSlink then you have the ip address of xlink kia + the ports are used are the same for both apps ,at least the way i do it 30000 to 34522.

If you run both stay in the chat lobby of xlink create a room on XBSlink & you will never have a disconnection while playing .I had some issues with xlink engine getting disconnected in the middle of playing ,which can be aggravating sometimes .So learning to use both is excellent ,me & my friend Ron36 played everyday for weeks & never got lag or disconnection with this method i/we used.

There are way more games supported that are not even on Xlink Kia's list = PSN games also we played ,many
For the record there is no struggling when you use a Lynksys WRT54G Router or same firmware on other Lynksys routers .

If anybody's down for some LAN/MW3 Survival ,Black ops ,etc

Firmware does not matter for this method,
this is a way for the games that has LAN play, to play over WAN or VPN.

no, the dude before is right. the list on their site dont show all games.
for example saints row the third is not in the list but is playable . and others too.

My friend Ron36 he is a member here made a list i hope he still has it .I don't know all of them but i could remember some PSN games if i look at my PS3 .I will see if he still has the list he made & see if he would like to post the others supported games . He was making the list to ask them to add them games they did not have since we played allot & were hoping other would actually get in Xlink ,instead of giving up because everyone things it is so hard but it is not if you understand how to use a router/port forward/firewall, DMZ ,etc +
