Yesterday there was a talk in irc about the problem with the firmware files (they are generating 1 TB bandwith/month)... the wiki has 3 TB bandwith/month, so is a significant difference
For all i know... euss said is not a problem if you link to the "firmware pages"... this way http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/3.55_CEX In the end... the files/info in the wiki are availables for everybody, but this pages contains more information about the file that is needed for the user (like changes, hashes, or alternative links) All this im saying is not official statement... just a conversation in irc where euss explained what was the problem, the solution, and his opinion |

Yes we had an IRC conversation where euss was made aware of some program(s) were abusing the firmwares download page on wiki. An extra of 1TB was added to the usual bandwidth usage and so to solve the issue he took some measures in getting such abusive activities to halt. Since then I heard the files are back up. Please people don't hotlink and/or abuse the firmware downloads page, like mentioned its there for our convenience.

ok, i'll just leave it off, no point in me adding to the bandwidth as the link to the main page is already in ps3 scene links.
with the wiki firmwares, might be an idea to do it like rebug did with their downloads, as there all about 190mb, and it would stop any leaching apps.

most gave a 8001003C error, but
@aldostools
your scetool_0.2.8_bruteforce did work upto a black screen (meaning the eboot and sfo are ok) when the eboot was set to 3.40 , so not sure.if you want to try here is the 3.60 pkg.. http://bbc.dl.playstation.net/bbc/NP...AYERFULL00.pkg also i am going to add yifan.lu update finder to weblinks http://yifan.lu/psn/

![]() http://www.ludibria.com/index.php?sys=ps3 Edit: I tested the iPlayer. It is signed with 3.55 keys, but PARAM.SFO is 3.60. I got your same results when I applied the FixELF and resigned the EBOOT, so it should be something else. Edit 2: I have added the links above to my modded version of XMBM+ 0.22.001
