So if I'm on 4.20 ofw. I need a hardware flasher if I want to jailbreak my PS3? There's no stable cfw that won't brick your PS3 for 3.55+ now?

You will need either an E3 flasher, Progskeet or Teensy++ to downgrade.

Have you run minverchk to see if your PS3 downgrades to 3.55? If your PS3 is a 3k series slim then you are out of luck, they dont downgrade to 3.55.

There is no CFW 3.55+ end of.

First of all, great work here itskamel's! U just explained all the process clearly, leaving no doubts!

I just have one question and it's not regarding the Tut, but I hope u can help me with that too. What's the best, E3 flasher, Progskeet or Teensy++? What should I use in order to follow ur Tutorial? As I understand from E3 flasher help, they say that once I flash the PS3, i just need to get multiman, and so on! No need to install the 3.55CFW, is that right?

I have no idea about the flashing process, as I have never had to

I run the Minverchk and it says my PS3 could be updated to 1.97. It means I can downgrade to 3.55 obviously? How do I do it then? I want to do it just by using my USB flash drive. Thanks a lot!!
