I will try the fix first without touching the fw.

The Game Id is usually on the spine of the box.

For example: BLUS-112233

I removed the TB dongle
I backed up my game to EXT HD and applied the Assassins.Creed.Revelations.Eboot.Patch.PS3-DUPLEX
I changed the games id to bles01467
I updated MM to 4.05

When I load the game, the screen goes black and I hear a beep as if I get an error but I Can't see it.

btw. When I load MM without the TB dongle I get a message MM cannot enable BD-ROM Emulator. Functionality may be restricted! Error : Unsupported system firmware.

then only thing I have not done is what DEFAULTDMB mentioned : Enter recovery mode and install 3.55 OFW and then 3.55 KMEAW just to be sure. Easy

but I can't located those files?

Am I on the right track?

So you havent removed TB CFW? the FW files can be found here:

3.55 OFW: http://www.ps3devwiki.com/files/firmware/OFW-CEX/3.55/

KMEAW: http://www.ps3devwiki.com/files/firmware/MFW-CEX/Kmeaw/

If the files dont show up on those links, click got to parent directory and then go back into the KMEAW or 3.55 folder.

also its defaultDNB

Game region is shown in the text of the main file: BLES, BLUS,.... BLES is for European version (PAL I would say and BLUS is for USA (NTSC). Thats my logical explanation.

http://www.covergalaxy.com/forum/att...-3118x1748.jpg
check here in the bottom middle picture:you can see number 1 in a square with globe, followed by BLUS 300.... (Just to give you idea).

So let me get this straight, if I install 3.55 OFW and then install Kmeav. Will this remove the TB CFW?
If this works. I used the TB to make dirt3 and some other games. Will I be able to play those games?

YES installing 3.55 then KMEAW will remove TB CFW.

Once TB CFW is removed you will have to patch your games with DUPLEX fixes to continue using them on KMEAW. TB dongle is virtually pointless now, as almost all TB games have been patched for use without their DRM infested FW and dongle.
(including dirt 3, AC:R, Sniper v2, etc etc)

If you ever want to go back to TB CFW just reinstall OFW 3.55 then reinstall TB CFW. Chop and change at will.

EDIT:

You could even foll0w this tutorial to quick change firmwares: http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?p=321986
