I have done this several times and the worst that happened was I had to hard reboot and once restarted you deactivate the spoofer before launching MM again.

Obviously leave it installed and you can reactivate whenever a crash is needed

Problem: I'm not sure if it'll work because when you activate it, it might "unload" the needed...

Does anyone have an easier way to "crash"? This is the first thing that came to mind from my experience.

Im not responsible for any harm done to your system. This is just an idea on crashing that I've encountered
Can we write an fself that overflows some stacks/buffers, and lets the console crash?

hi guys,

make a coredump of the file you want to investigate....
than load the file in ps3debugger.exe from sdk....

Now you can investigate the whole processes...etc...

this make your life easier....but its not for normal user....

The problem is not with investigating the dump, the real problem is finding a way to create core dumps that contain the decrypted eboot with some consistency.

As far as i can see nobody bothered to explain the right method to do it.

Did anyone make a core dump of a retail self? I made lots of tests but I was able to make a core dump only of fselfs (except multiman).

With some game (fself EBOOT) I can get a core dump simply loading the EBOOT alone (whitout game's folders).
I'm working to do this with a retail EBOOT.

Anyway, for fself the easiest way is with the target manager, and in my opinion it's also better because it make a dump when there aren't any errors (so the eboot should be clean).
