I am on firmware 4.21 I have videos in VIDEO folder and MUSIC folder on root directory
I have the videos in correct format
I am using Triangle to view all
what am i doing wrong
the video folder shows up but nothing is inside.
PS3 slime firmware 4.21 LEGIT, no mods at all. and I want to try to stay that way if possable, but will jailbreak if necesary.

i just put the vids and music on root with out folders and use triangle to view all

all mine work on OFW using triangle and view all whether on root or in folders

if that's the case then i would guess the op has not got films in the right format. dunno why photos wouldn't show up .

I used a program called xillisoft video converter. It conevers ANYTHING to ANYTHING. video, audio, ect. I can make audio a video file and vice versa.

I converted Three music videos using this into particulary MPEG-2 PS (MPEG2 Audio Layer 2) 480p high quality videos

I have checked the file output peramiters against what codecs are on said ps3 and it is still not working.

trust me I do my homework before I post, as to avoid stupid questions that I can awnser myself. Even though this is kinda a stupid question, Its not working for me.

I looked at the Playstation 9 video converter thing It only list up to firmware 3.0, that is why I tried xillisoft.

Any sujestions?

remember this poster is a droid hacking guru and is versed in wii hacking, custum firware, homebrew ect. so you can be tecnical in your responces.

I appriciate any and all responses to my original post, and will try a diffrent converter and double check my xillisoft output peramiters. thankyou.

I am on sony proprietary firmware 4.21 with no jailbreaks or hacks or mods whatsoever and am trying to avoid this at all cost. I love playing with lynix but system firmwares are to much hastle and to time consuming for me.

file placment is not the issue, the folders are showing up, just not the files

try using ps3 video 9...converter dedicated to ps3 file conversion...only used it myself a couple of times as they normally play fine but seems to do the trick.

I recently got a new external drive. I first formatted it to fat32 with easeus partition master. My PS3 would see the drive, but I could not see any files on it.

So I used the format tool that comes with PS Multi Tools. And set the allocation size to 65536.
Now it works great. Maybe that could be your problem.
