I checked every single seller lilsted on Canada on Swap Magic's site, most of 'em disappeared and the ones still standing have no trace of them selling the products.

I checked Cobra's site but I wasn't trusting it, I guess I'll go for it now.

What's a "PS2-friendly firmware?"

No disrespect but, don't send folks off like that especially if you've never order said usb dongle.

@Jhodad
I ordered my Cobra USB from China and it took about 4 weeks.
I could have chose a distributor in the USA since that's where I'm at but I wanted it as cheap as possible and I had no....I REPEAT...no issues with the delivery. Just make sure you make the right decision for You.

It's probably available only in USA (like most hardware hax for PS3), so if you live anywhere else you'll wait a month for it to arrive (and probably get lost at the post office because it was not a recorded delivery lol) or you'll pay twice as much for delivery in "reasonable" time as you'd pay for just the dongle. And no, a week's time is not a reasonable delivery time.
Either way, if you're buying dongles, you're getting pwned by postal services.
Hahaha, USA/Canada mail services are so unbalanced and I'm just going to say, lame. I trust international mail but not with USA, hahah, no offense BTW, I remeber that time I ordered a game from Hong Kong, free shipping, 5 days delivery :D.

Anyways, i'm gonna dig in these mentioned solutions, so THANKS A LOT everyone!

A PS2-friendly firmware, like I said before, is anything that's not OtherOS++. That firmware will hang on loading a PS2 game.

At the time of Geohot's jailbreak I was considering buying an ATMel dongle with his software on it. But what stopped me were 4 reasons.
1. Ludicrous delivery costs outside of USA.
2. Unreasonable delivery time, even for the more expensive delivery.
3. Nobody in Europe sold them anymore.
4. Possibility of the package being lost at the post office if it's the cheaper delivery.
Hence the dislike of and bias against USB dongles. If I was given a chance of getting one at a reasonable price and delivery time, I may have something good to say about them. But that's not the case so I have nothing good to say about them.

Modchipcentral has Cobra usb dongle. They are located in Canada.

@soplica
You can't play PS2 .ISO files on a PS3 without the Cobra usb dongle.
