I have tried everything, the clip just isn't working.
I have a CECH2001A with the Samsung NOR Chip. I can't get the clip to stay on for anything. I have tried everything in this thread that was recommended to me. I tried two nickles on top of the chip, a piece of sponge, and applied pressure for ever. It seems like i still get the error from thisE3 Nor Clip wont stick after 10001100 error. - YouTube video i posted before. I even got a new clip and ribbon cable because i thought that was the problem. I can't get a good backup. Where the hell do i go from here?
Oh yeah, i shaved the edge down as suggested too. No success. |

It doesn't look like you are applying pressure in that video.
Put the clip on the chip until you here it click. Then put your thumb on the clip and your other thumb on the other side of the motherboard. Apply a lot of pressure. Apply a piece of clear scotch tape over the clip. Then do the thumb pressure thing again. Then take a piece of very strong tape. I use blue duct tape. Apply over the clip. Do the thumb pressure trick again (while chanting "I am not gonna take you apart again insert bad word here" And use your fingernail to secure the tape around the clip tight. Give it some more thumb love and more chanting and cussing. Then put the mobo back together. Careful not to crush the ribbon while doing so. This is my routine, and I have done over 100 consoles. And get a good dump 1st try everytime. You might also want to check here. To make sure you did not buy a clone.

As playerkp420 stated you are not putting enough pressure on the clip.
As for the if it is a clone check to make sure that you don't have the number 1312 on the E3 flasher card.

Trust me, since that video has been made, i have tried at least 25 times and got bad backups. I applied a ****load of pressure and taped everything down just like you said. I've tried everything i heard of. Nothing has worked so far. |

Did you check to make sure it wasn't a clone? If it isn't, then you need to just keep your cool, and keep at it. You will get it eventually. Or give it up, sell the flasher and use the money to pay for someone to do it for you, like
@playerkp420
if you are in the USA

If it is not, then you are doing something wrong. I'll bet you $45 including return shipping, I can do it on the first try. I'll even make a video as proof. Only if you are in the U.S.A. though.

You need to check to see if any of the pins in the clip are bent and if they are then the flasher is no good anymore and you will need to buy a new clip.

![]() To the OP: Something that worked for me was cutting 5 or 6 little squares out of corrugated cardboard, slightly larger than the clip, tape them all into one "block", then tape it down on top of the clip. When you reassemble, the metal shielding will push it all down tight. Or you could use the linker board and solder all the connections

This is a brand new clip, just got it yesterday. I had the same problems with the last one and thought the bad backups were due to the ribbon being beat up. ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* lucky . |
