I'm having some issue with this, I try adding Dragons Dogma code 00002000 008BFC44 60000000, after I add and save the code and st.dat, I went to test the code and it didn't work, so I went back and check the code again and it was different then what I enter.

00002000 008BFC44 60000000 turn into 00002000 00454545 60000000.

don't know what is wrong, I tried it a couple time and it was the same thing.

1-Added extension .ps3cheat
2-Added a suggested name for export
3-Use F2 to edit individual cheat title
4-The OCX is required. I could remove it, but it would be a lot of work, due I would have to program all the functions of the OCX. You can make a SFX and put the OCX and the EXE, the EXE will automatically register the OCX.
5-TXT format can be used for that
6-Fixed the window title (it said PS3 Game Editor instead of PS3 Cheats Editor)

Thanks @aldostools !!

Thanks for implementing .ps3cheat. Great! I strongly feel, you should remove the .txt from both export/import. Force users to adopt .ps3cheat. It will be a net standard for all ps3 community. When you right-click, it should simply say "Import Cheats" instead of "Import Cheats from Text File"

I have also made a icon graphic for .ps3cheat. I hope you like it. Do tell me what format/dimension do you require it to be.

If it require a lot of work, please forget it!

Will it be possible to implement it on your next or future release. The latest Cheat DB (Say it uses TXT format) could alway be included in your release. The cheats DB could reside in C:\Program Files\PS3 Cheats Editor. Beside every game, there could be a check box. There should also be "Select All Check Box" and "Deselect All Check Box". This could be in context menu. Users could select their desired game and export it to st.dat.

I can also design a icon for your app plus a cool splash-screen when starting the app.

Thanks aldostools!

I think there is a small misunderstanding.

.ps3cheat is in txt format. And it will be. Users can use ANY text editors to understand, back up and import their own edits. If there is more than 1 format in the export/import, there will not be any standardisation. If more than 1, some users will post in .ps3cheat while others post in .txt. Our goal is to keep it simple and unified. We just need a single file extension format for standardisation across ps3 community. In that way, there will be rapid progress to code finding and contributing to the cheats DB. We are not removing anything but we are adding value to it for standardisation. As there is no need for duplication, I stand on removing .txt.

BTW devs like @samson and @aldostools are better than sony!

Also, it's easier when you find some code posted in a forum: just copy and paste it in notepad, and save the file as TXT. There is no need to rename extensions (1 step less) and there are less potential errors when the user have enabled the stupid default "hide file extensions" saving "my cheats.ps3cheat" as "my cheats.ps3cheat.txt"

About the icon, it look nice, but I'll keep the blue icon for now (icons need different formats: 16x16, 32x32, 48x48, the icon does not match with the program's theme)
If plan to keep .txt format, then I have to respect that! I guess I must be suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder.

I have made a new icon that matches your app.

Hope you like it!

You can use your custom icon, editing the following registry key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Code Unique Text Format\DefaultIcon
I truly aware that icons are not jpgs and icons are in .ico

I have made a slight modification. I have made them in ico format of 128x128, 48x48, 32x32 and 16x16

Great Job aldostools, the app is coming along nicely.

Just asking, but is there a guide to making code for games? As I need an item in FF XIII-2 to complete a task but due to the game being patched, and something going wrong, the minigames aren't working so I'd like to cheat that item into my inventory Plus it'll be good practice.
