Hi, i have two questions!

1ªIf i buy an hard disk and switch the ps3 one for the new can i install on the new hd wich gonna be clean a custom firmware or 3.55 oficial?

2ª Ii was wondering if i make a fully format to my ps3 it will restore is factory ?

Im on 4.20 and i want to jailbreak my ps3 but i dont wanna buy an e3 flasher.
When i was on 3.55 firmware which is the more hackable firmware i didnt knew about jailbreaking and things like this

But please aswer to both questions

No and yes. You can just swap hard drives to achieve cfw. You NEED hardware flasher. And if you do a full format it will make it back to out of the box, other than the firmware. You can't go back to old firmware without hardware flasher

He said you can't do what you want.

You need to buy an e3 flasher or another hardware flasher.

If you want to go to 3.55 for jailbreaking, you have to have a hardware flasher like e3 flasher or progskeet. Changing the hard drive won't change the firmware. Doing a total system format through the recovery menu will reset all the settings to factory, but it won't return the system to an older firmware. Once again, flasher is the only thing that will bring the firmware back down.

Only a hardware flasher can help you. There is not other way to go back to 3.55 from 4.20. Clean HDD will restore everything, but not the FW version.

No one can tell you for sure if/ when there will be a 4.21 cfw
