I have copy MGS 4 from original Disc to external HDD and when i click Select + X. The game start but after the installation process it display black screen...?!

Note: I'm using Rogero CFW 3.55 CEX 3.5

Ok, i will try it. Is there a limitation for HDD size if i want to replace my internal HDD and buy a new one ? What the HDD specification ?!

First try it and report back if it works.
Then will see about the size of the internal and brand of HDD'S.

Maximum size for internal drive is 1TB.

That can be a laptop 2.5 inch drive, make sure it's standard 2.5 inch hard drive thickness, many 750GB+ drives are thicker and won't fit.

...Or, if you prefer you can buy an external 3.5 inch drive case, then use a 3.5 inch hard drive. But it still can only be up to 1TB and you will need a couple of extra cables to convert the male SATA header on the PS3 to a female eSATA cable to connect to the external hard drive case.


Important note though, is that most 2.5 inch laptop hard drives 500GB+ have annoying power management feature that spins the drive down and can't be turned off, causes stuttering and sometimes crashes in games. The Western Digital Scorpio drives are ones to AVOID like the plague. This was my main reasoning for just getting an external enclosure because there's no spindown crap to deal with.

Delete the game data.

It should play from internal or external. Click the box in game settings of multiMan, for where you have the game internal or external.

Only update game patches from inside multiman. It will give you the latest patch that will work on 3.55.

Ehat have you done to fit it on extrrnal? MGS4 is a 4GB game... I'm curious.
Perhaps you missed that detail? And as a result, have splitfiles lying in your MGS4 folders on external. The game should still run until those files are needed, sooo.. It sounds likely.

Also Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition don't work from original Disc black screen. I will install OFW 3.55 to try if it work or not...?!
