@playerkp420

That reminds me. I was wondering if I could simply attach 2 intel i7 cpus via usb onto the ps3 and double its processing power then skyrim wont lag so much.

The idea is also to future proof my ps3 so that when ps4 comes out I dont have to buy it

can I do this?

About the CPUs i have no idea how would that work (because its not just the CPUs working on a game, its the video card, the RAM and the motherboard...even if you have exelent CPUs, RAM and a good graphic card, if you have a ****ty motherboard it will do you no good. And not to mention that the PS4 will probably have a different OS)...but regarding Skyrim, you can get rid of the lagging if you switch your HDD for a SSD.

Lol.

The only way that would work, is get the PC version. And play it on your PC.

Yes, i already said that...

But i think that he was more focus on having a PS3/kinda a render farm?!

I dont really know what he was aiming for...lol

The only way that i would see a PS3 having more horse power, is having some kind of transfer data to a powerful PC that would in turn, return the calculations over to the PS3 (kinda like a render farm).

But we are talking about a massive change in the PS3 OS. (and not to mention the programing needed on the part of the PC) OH, and a really, really fast LAN lol

But like i said before (and you reenforced).
A SSD will take care of the lagging problem

Doing that would be a challenge for Sony imagine all the armature homebrew coders going at it lmao
