Thumbs up [Released] PS3 EVO 1.0

Hi everyone!
I was googling and i found out that there is a PS2 emulator to ps3.

It looks like it's the same of this but in the form of a simple .pkg (easy to install). So we don't need to use service mode.

If anyone want to check PS2 Evo v1.0 - YouTube is a video and can be downloaded from here - PS2 Evo v1.0

The instalation and use are simple but here it is a little tutorial:

Click here to see full text

1st Download the file
2nd Copy the file PS2 Evo v1.0.pkg to the root of a USB drive formated in FAT32
3rd Install the .pkg from *Install Package Files*
4th Insert a original PS2 disk on the BD
5th Run the app and enjoy

All the credits of this homebrew goes to SONIC_BH from digitalevo.net

Greetings

Useless. Obviously you haven't been reading through the forums concerning PS2 support for the PS3.

You been here a while also but I understand you may have not been up here for the duration for what Devs have accomplished a year from then you joined the PS3Hax community.

Sorry. What?!

I haven't saw anything about this frontpaged...

This news here from the benning of the month: http://www.ps3hax.net/2012/08/playst...ll-ps3-models/

And this is the same thing but in the form of a .pkg (which is a great new for members that don't have much experience).

Since when, it was possible to do that on a PS3 Slim (for instances) without Cobra?

And if this is useles, why there is this post? http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=41700

greetings

Greetings
Since your a member here and you provided us with the information. Its best for you to confirm it working before people began slandering you for having something fake.

I would try it myself but my PS3 is currently not operational.

From source:

Good friends successfully achieved the ps2 emulator 100% functional on PS3 with this emulator no longer need to put service mode, just put the game on BD and run homebrew ...

It also says it was tested on "3.55 CFW DigitalEvo", which is a custom CFW with PS1, PSP and PS2 emulation functionality added, so I don't know if it will work the same on e.g. Kmeaw

Can you provide more information on this? It became interesting once I saw PSP emulation.

Did Zadow's Gift actually exploit something?

I can only make Google translate the source. So, from the CFW 3.55 DigitalEvo source:

Custom Firmware is a firmware that one modifies the code of the original FW to allow applications that run unsigned by SONY. (Backups, Emulators, etc ...)
There are currently several CFW available for ps3 but I'll only talk about CFW 3:55 DigitalEvo.
Major changes and improvements in CFW 3:55 DigitalEvo:

Added PS1 Emulator | 100% Functional |
Added PS2 Emulator | 100% Functional |
Added Emulator PSP (Looking for a way to run from the HD).
Added Patch lv2 Peek & Poke.
Added Patch IN BD, Works perfectly without Blueray drive. (Good for those who have the drive burned, or technical).
Added blocking communication with the sony servers.
Added Spoof 4.21 to avoid the upgrade.
Added Theme DigitalEvo
Added customized bootlogo.
PSN / SEN: | It was off 23/08/2012 |
Added 3.56/3.60 appldr / NPDRM Keys.
