preowned is the way to go. 3.55 is old now. you will be lucky to find anywhere selling 3.55 new.

Just purchase a used console from either online or your local gaming store.
Broken PS3s are okay to purchase too depending on how much its damaged , if you're willing to refurbish them. The one thing about that is you should know how to fix it before buying anything damaged or broken.
