I'm on Rogero, and still say the Ver is 4.21? can i change it? because i'm trying to install PS3layout button changer 1.3 pkg it say not compatible only 3.40 + 3.55FW.

also i'm asking about my console is a JAP NTSC
so i want to play EN version games on my jailbroken ps3 rogero version.
did the rogero fw or TB dongle can support the region games? like US,EU on JAP Console and reverse?

Also where i can download ps3 games for jailbroken ps3?

Reboot PS3 and then continue with service mode downgrade steps.

This is assuming that this is a nor chip model PS3?

this means that you still have chance to backup your NOR BIOS dump ,even when bricked (turn on green light 6 seconds then turn off completely)

If you are on Rogero, you are on 3.55. It says 4.21 because it is a built in spoof.
Did you downgrade your PS3? Or did you just install Rogero? If you downgraded and didn't finish the downgrade with dehashing. Then follow this guide starting from the spoiler "Qa flag".

PS3's will play games from any region.

Yesterday , my technician Failed to backup the Bios Dump, from my Bricked console , which was bricked due to "not dehashing" ,ie : installing 3.55OFW over Rogero 3.55CFW

I don't have a previous Bios Backup , so I did the following :-

1))I solder a wire from the nor tristate to Ground on motherboard
2) That will keep your ps3 on with switch 1 up (FUN FLASH MODE)
3) Then get a backup by having switch 1 and 3 up. (FUN FLASH MODE)

It Failed to backup the flash , what should be the problem ?

should I solder the NOR Tristate to the sbe point on the e3 ribbon instead of ground ?? or it is the same ?

any clues ?

Sounds like the clip is not on good enough.

You only need to update the flasher once, with the Samsung 10.28 update.bin. Then you can flash multiple PS3s.

Search for half dual boot.

You can half dual boot without soldering. But it won't be a simple flick of the switch like the soldering of 2 wires for fast dual boot.
