Which is the Best PSP for Hacking?

I'm thinking of purchasing another PSP really soon for hacking purposes.

I don't mind the PSP-1000 model and I'm quite sure it's the most flexible, but I'm not a fan of it's bulky exterior and for some reason the square button has always annoyed me.

As far as I'm concerned, the PSP-2000 and PSP-3000 models aren't that different asthetically, however I'm quite sure the PSP-3000 would give me more problems CFW and homebrew-wise compared to the PSP-2000.

I really like the PSPgo, but I don't think there's a permenanent CFW solution available and it comes with 16GB memory which all-in-all, pound-for-pound costs less than the PSP-1000/2000/3000 + 16GB memory stick.

Which one should I get?

I have 2 psp 100x and one 200x, and both are great when it comes to hacks and CFW. There are pros and cons in each model. I like the 100x because everything is solved with a pandora battery and has better compatibility with obscure emulators and homebrews that I still use...

Edit: I talked about models and not answered the OP question: I think the PSP-100x models are better for hacking, and safer than any other series.

that explains what to do and its very very very simple.

the pspgo controls however are a little fiddley compared to the bigger models

The older the model the better hacking capability. 1000 is the best, 2000 is okay, 3000 not recommend. The only thing about the 1000 I don't like is the quality and ram.

I have a couple of 1000 psp's on cfw, it's been so long since I even touched them but psp had some awesome emulators and it was great when popsloader emerged.

Unfortunately it may be hard to find reliable units now due to the age.

Running a 3001 and my kid (hes 6) uses it most of the time. Running PRO-B 6.60 with the half cfw that resets when power loss and he got no problems rerunning the patch by himself. But I use it for games only no other homebrew.

The best model i would get is the 2000 only reason that it has good CFW compatibility, also when getting a 2000 be sure to get one that is pre ta83 so that it can get permanent CFW, i'm on the latest firmware and running PRO's CFW and working smooth, the go however is not as good but i think its highest permenant hackable firmware is 6.20 like the 3000 still a little uncertain if somebody could clarify this then yeah it would be great. Good luck on the PSP thing @Annelies .
