Since when are fixed EBOOTs homebrew?
As a homebrew enthusiast I think its a dangerous and sucky thing to blur the two. As I have always known it, Homebrew = a game/app developed by a random person/s. Retail Sony EBOOTs are devloped by big companies. |

This is a weekly homebrew round up. Homebrew should not be confused with game cracks. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2 |

Well I think it matters.. I'm most likely the only person on this site.
I'm part of movements that have fought for years to make end-user code (homebrew) a standard feature of consoles. When people lump the 2 together it is a kick in the guts. I'm not simply trolling here.. I believe this is a serious matter. Like I said.. I'm most likely the only person on this site who does though. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2 |

I'm with you GraVoX959.
Homebrew and patched eboots are wholly different things. Homebrew would be something like Multiman or Showtime. They're an entire product versus a hack/ fix like a patched eboot.

"Note: we dont support piracy. Go buy the game and support the producers." modification of eboots is not homebrew

Until I'm shown a dictionary definition of homebrew that reputable sources have recognized and that is renowned worldwide... I don't buy it.
To me homebrew is anything created, modified or produced in the Scene. Period. |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homebrew_(video_games)
Meh, close enough. "Homebrew is a term frequently applied to video games or other software produced by consumers to target proprietary hardware platforms (usually with hardware restrictions) not typically user-programmable or that use proprietary storage methods." Eboots aren't produced by consumers. They're produced by producers. Cracking isn't producing. |
