I am not. It is simple. PS3 A and PS3 B will have complete different UserID. It does not matter if the saves are from different user as long the PS3s are different PS3 will see it has a different user. Only Option is to resign.

Unless, you use xRegistry to edit the registry and make PS3 A and PS3 B the same UserID, then you are able to use the saves.

Why would they have a different userID? He is wanting to copy all of his saves which has his userID attached to them and move them to his other PS3 which since he is wanting them for himself then the userID will not change because they were his saves to begin with.

The userID will only change if you are wanting to use a save from someone with a different account all together.

Yeap but for most famous game, it will not work. As you know games will simply say the save belong to another user and the game will overwrite the save and start blank.

It only does that if the save came from someone else.

I have copied many, many saves of my own and transferred them to all 6 of my PS3s and they have always worked and never said that it was from a different user. Now whenever I use a save that I have found online or wherever that I want to make as my own then I have to use Xploder to change the ownership to me.

From my experience, that someone else is yourself when you have 2 or more PS3 using your own saves. From the eyes of PS3 B the saves did came from someone else (Even-though it is yours.)

For this example lets use the User ID as 666 and 999 and Both PS3 has only one user account.

This is how it it works. :

PS3 A with a registry User ID 666, will always writes Games saves with User ID 666
PS3 B with a registry User ID 999, will always writes Games saves with User ID 999

You can defiantly use your USB drive to copy saves from PS3 A to PS3 B, BUT there are few catches.

1. Some old games from 2007 will work fine.
2. You will not get trophies.
3. Most popular games will prompt, saying the save is from another user and trophies will not pop. And some games will not save at all.

Simple solution is to Resign your saves from 666 to 999. PS3 B will think that save was create by PS3 B and it will resume as normal.

Unless you have both clean formatted HDD with both single new user :

PS3 A with a registry User ID 000, will always writes Games saves with User ID 000
PS3 B with a registry User ID 000, will always writes Games saves with User ID 000

Then you can transfer saves without resigning.

All of you are mis-reading his question.....he isn't asking how to make someone else's save his but how he can transfer all of his saves from one of his PS3s to the other.
Actually thats exactly how I read his question

I use Xploder to transfer saves from my OFW console to one of my other console.
It works for me. But there is method as you say that costs nothing.

I understand what you two are saying.....it is just I haven't ever heard of anyone having that issue unless for some reason the person's account is not linked to the profile.

I understand that 2 different consoles will have differences within the saves but when the saves are linked to the same PSN account then it overrides this issue.....at least it always has for me.

Here this a thread from other forum.

Code:

Be careful when you attempt this. You are modifying the the registry of PS3 which may result in brick or RLOD.

but be careful with the saves , if the game is from game who need an account , when you try to load that save in your ps3 with your account the ps3 will tell that save is from another account and will ask you to delete it and you cant play that save
