Biggest advantage of ps3 is its exclusives almost all of them will beat the **** outta multiplatform as well as 360 exclusives....but still ps3 performs very bad when it comes to multiplatform games...ah man assassins creed series all of them play terribly in ps3...yeah i know it depends on the coding but still developers prefer 360 as it is easy...
And btw both the consoles are reaching their end cycle so its better to buy the one with the cheap offer...imo ill say go with ps3 for its exclusives....

I got a wasbi 360 and I think its almost impossible to get banned as there isn'rlt really anyway to detect it. All it does is emulate the xbox's drive

Actually they plan to have the xbox on the market for a lot longer than you think.

Well, in case of an xbox, does anyone have an experience with playing xgd3 games without iHas (truncated discs ?) I'm really not interested at all in playing online, so even if I get banned, it doesn't really matter that much. What are the games that won't work ?
I really hope we get a breakthrough on the PS3 scene, without DRM of course !

A sensible question.

Burning XGD3 games without an iHas flashed with burner max is a very bad idea. Some games will work from the disk - none - will work when installed. Depending on the drive you have, truncated burns won't even work from disk (c4evaspeaks.com) will explain the ones that won't\will work.

Some games actually use all the game partition on the XGD3 disk so they will crash at some point in the game or simply refuse to run.

For example Forza 4 will not work correctly at all with a truncated burn and you will get a disk integrity check error during any race.

You WON'T receive a ban for any of these errors you might receive as a result of playing a truncated XGD3 backup, at least that is the feeling - so not set in stone. There has been no mass ban wave for at least a year now, maybe even 2 I believe.

XGD3\AP2.5 was invented to prevent backups from running, not really for the point of actually banning, that again is the general feeling but not set in stone as nobody can know but after this long it's fair to make some solid guesses and assume them to be the truth.

Can't do any harm giving some truncated games a go can it, you can always decide later if you need an iHas burner, they won't suddenly disappear anymore than they already have. There's a premium on them now, but prices have actually come down in the past few months after the "rev c" came out making the old "rev b" (ones needed to flash the burner max firmware) pricey.

Personally...hardly touch my PS3, multiplats run much better on an Xbox 360. But the 360 can't match the PS3's exclusives in quality in terms of gameplay - and graphics \ sound \ productions values.

It doesnt matter if Im a mod or not. And all he was doing was asking a harmless question. And yes I do have my episodes. I don't want this to turn into drama as this is useless. And you can get a iHas burner for cheap now I just saw a ad the other day for one for $17 I'll try and find the link for you
