A reball won't guarantee that your ps3 will work again. You're supposed to reflow it first to assess if your ps3 can be saved with a reball. I'm broke so I just reflowed mine with a heat gun and left it at that.

Yeah I found while researching for the best thermal compund. This website had done a review of over 50+ thermal paste and they tried mayo and it came out as good as artic silver 5. I myself am thinking of getting some artic mx-4 instead of this as5 I have on my consoles right now.

Yeah but usually a reball will do the job. I'm gonna get this slim with GLOD reflowed first to see if its a dead rsx

I definitely suggest reflowing them both first because there could be other issues. If you go thru all the trouble reballing them and the glod is a bad rsx chip and ylod is something that can't be fixed, you will have wasted time and money. Good luck

@robreys123 well at least you have a sense of humor. You get a like. Didn't mean to come off as a dick.
@JustThatDude good question. I know it can be done, but I haven't asked my guy about where he gets them from. I will find out.

Do you know a guy by the name of Adam Stanley who owns an online ps3 parts store?
