Downgraded CECHA 4.11 to 3.55 RLOD issue

Maybe you awesome people can help me out here with understanding what is wrong with this console.

This is a CECHA-01 with a COK-001 board. The system was originally on 4.11 and I have a progskeet with a NAND clip.

I have taken a 4.11 image and have tirelessly verified it using ps3dev.net flash page to check sizes, magic details, and contents where I could. I am convinced that my dump is correct.

I first did the downgrade patch that overwrites the revoke lists and did a service mode downgrade to Rogero 3.55 NoBD. This completed without error. I then installed 3.55 OFW in service mode to start the dehash and that completed with an error writing the Bluray revoke package. The system booted up and I installed the 3.55 OFW in service mode again to attempt to complete the dehash. This resulted in the same error. I had a lot of trouble getting anything other than Rogero to install without problems. I tried to install the 3.55 OtherOS++ firmware and that presented many problems. I started to suspect that the firmware was not dehashed properly so I ran the install of 3.55 OFW in service mode using a noBD lv2diag.self file. This killed it.

The system now starts and shuts down in 2 seconds using the following light pattern: Red (initial), green (power pressed), yellow (.5 second steady), red (flashing until power pressed).

It does not respond to attempts to get into service mode from jig nor does it function any differently after restoring the 4.11 dump.

I have some decent hex editing and diagonstic skills so if anyone has anything for me to try, I can certainly try it and report the results. I love this launch unit and want it to function as long as it can.

Thanks again for the help in advance.

I don't know much about progskeet and nand, but for dehashing, don't you need to patch the firmware first, not just install OFW 3.55

The relevant instructions:
Use normal lv2diag.self and unpatched official firmware (e.g. 3.55) on USB Mass Storage device in root and let the system reinstall that in factory service mode (FSM).

The instruction before that DOES have you patch 3.55 to ignore Syscon hashes but that is taken care of by Rogero v3. So that I assume was done correctly.

I have decided that the motherboard is fried in some way. The firmware in the dump looks correct (I.E. all files that are supposed to be encrypted have the SCE header magic, metldr has a correct header string and size, and all vsh files are present.) I will try to save this board if/when better firmware diagnostic tools come available but in the meantime I have found a replacement COK-001 CECHA motherboard and blu-ray daughter combo on ebay. I have verified that the seller has pulled it from a working system. Not too bad for $30. I will be extremely careful and pull full hardware dumps every step of the way this tiime while doing the downgrade (if needed) and debug conversion.

the motherboard is ok

you just have a de-hash fail

if you still have your patched split dumps (the ones you used to flash back then simply flash them back again.
if you dont then simply do the downgrade again.

then dont do fsm de-hash do QA-FLAG de-hash and you will be good to go.

follow my guide HERE

I suspected that but I cannot get the system to a usable state. I have tried restoring the 4.11 backup and that yields the same results.

Is it possible to re-patch the golden backup with the downgrade patch and start over? When I restored the 4.11 backup with progskeet, I tried to trigger service mode (I use a TI-84) and it does not respond differently.

EDIT: Now that I have taken a look at your thread, I see that you are indeed recommending repatching the dump and restoring that 4.11 dump to the PS3. Correct me if I am wrong. I will give it a shot.

I have never been so happy to see this phrase. Thank you very much baileyscream! I will now try to dehash through QA as this success was the rogero nocheck pup install.

oh god who told you to do this? there is no way to exit fsm above 3.55. there are no keys or correct file to exit from fsm above 3.55

yes take your origional dump and re-pach it then re-write it to ps3 OR just dump your NOR and patch that again (after making sure its a good dump) then re-flash with that

Big up @baileyscream for you hard work, guide, and effort. You are an asset to this community. I have learned a lot about dehashing lately. Thank you.

This was nobody but myself. I was only testing for correct LV1 response to FSM as I knew I would be downgrading shortly thereafter.

I think something is going on with the bly-ray drive revoke list installs as that is breaking the de-hashing process. I get a failure on any firmware that is not noBD including OFW when trying to QA install for the dehash. I do remember getting this same problem when I tried it in FSM as well.

I tried the remarry process. Shouldn't the screen say "PASS" in green letters if the marriage is successful? Mine just shut off after running. I tried to run it on 3.55 Rogero since there is a 3.55 remarry procedure now.

The alternative I am thinking of is trying to use the NoBDBT firmware you have in your guide to do the dehash then try to load 3.55 OFW.

The only other thing I can think of is to try to install the Rogero 3.50 Syscon patched firmware for remarriage and try the 3.50 kit.
