great to know that there are other ways to fix a Game.
I just changed the Param from a Game with a Editor and the Game is working :-)
Finally after so many days and nights - the solution was all the days so close..
Yeah it's time to make a Archive for all files otherwise I will loose the overview..
A other question is what do you mean exactly with "always extract the param.sfo from other fixes"
I get that for fixes with Eboots and Param Sfo files inside but how is it with PKG files fixes.
The most of the fixes which I had were PKG files..
Is there also a way to get the Param and the Eboot from a PKG fix?
Something like a Editor ??

If you are unsure about the param.sfo inside of a patch/package .Before you install the patch/package use pkg view 1.3 & extract the param.sfo .Check the param firmware version & make sure it is edited already to 341 or less . That is what i mean so you don't have to look after & wonder why the game will not boot . Anyways i am off to sleep l8r

Just saw via PKG viewer that one of the patches PARAM SFO was on 3.6
that was probably one of the reasons..
Now I downloaded a "Tool" package with certain nice tools..
will try to find out how it works :-)

Did you use the right fix?
Is the param.sfo changed to 3.55?

if anyone could help i'd appreciate it greatly!! I've tried just the 9.99 spoofer, editing the param.sfo to 3.55, and the pkg fix from http://www.*******.com/ps3-hacks-jai...ved-by-duplex/ however I continue having issues getting passed the Rockstarr video screen, it goes black then pops up with screen trying to update my ps3 software..? I really want to play this game and have spent countless hours trying to get it working..

Tried to go from CFW 3.55 Kmeaw to CFW Rebug 3.55.2 and still the same results..

I was having same trouble with blackscreen then errorcode
using duplexs' rip- + -fix

i did not apply updates

updated multiman to 4.5

select game
choose (options)
let multiman set permissions
choose bd mirror under game settings

i was then able to run from external without issue

still getting prompts for updating system software... -cancel
title still loads

It takes me to some software update screen everytime no way to back up unless ps3 button and quit game.
