@stuck? @samson - The title of the post was to try to convey a light hearted nature of the material. In no way, shape or form was I being critical of the way news is posted on this site nor was I trying to cause trouble and say "this is the way it should be on ps3hax" .

The post originated from the argument about "sourcing" that has popped up the last two days with the latest in the DEX 4.21 firmware thread where someone was banned over their views on what an "Exclusive" means. I thought I'd go one better and right a brief explanation of black and white news.

I am totally aware of the style of news posted on the site and in all reality even the syndicated news doesn't always follow the format. I have no problems with the way news is posted and I do not understand the reaction to this post (well, other then the normal trolling factor).

I simply wanted to "put it out there" and if people can learn from it then good, but it just seems like people want to moan and complain and moan and complain like always about anything I post and for all the wrong reasons. I think if I posted the 4.21 keys I would get trolled!

@japsander - You touched base on some material I did not include like intentional swinging of articles based on personal agendas (both GaryOPA and GregoryRasputin are guilty of this). Gary's news is indeed influenced by monetary gain and Gregory's was influenced by his hatred for the TB device. Regardless of ethics you brought up a good point and for the most part PS3HAX hasn't sold out to anyone and it's news from when I started to read the site has not posted any sellout garbage.

Would I rather have a more professional poster (Gary) telling me what to buy or would I have less professional (no offense here guys) telling me like it is? I'd take the second. The truth is much better then paid advertisements turned into news anyday! Though, Gary doesn't always post that sort of thing just like Gregory doesn't always try to turn a post into a slanderous mess.

@samson - I put it in the Off-Topic forum; where else should I have posted it?

About the member submission. That was an oversight. I did not mean to imply a member wrote the news. I will correct it, but ...
Sites that use member submissions for posts do not generally post what the member submits, but takes that information and in turn writes an article then posts it giving credit to the member for posting the tip and then linking to it. The member's post shouldn't then need to be edited and the post on the main page would not include any sort of opinion which can be construed as bias depending on the person reading it.

To everyone else. I thought the light hearted nature of the title of the article, the fact it's posted in an off-topic forum and the fact it doesn't insult PS3HAX or it's news posters in any shape or fashion that it would go over well.

Some of you who decided to act the fool and post nonsense seemed to think I was trying to imply news posters should "post this way and only this way" or was telling the news posters how to do what they do, but that was not my intent. It even offended you, well, that's how you acted.

The only thing I would of liked to see from news posters reading this is they might learn something and if they implement it then great, but if not no big deal. This is a scene site, a hacking site that posts news how it deems fit and that is - okay!

Each site has their *user base* here if an article is frontpage the OP can voice his opinion on the matter...

Add to those 200,000 members = All STL fake accounts and fake accounts or double accounts in general.

I will go on HAX for quality before quantity, cr3nch on the other side have *less* valuable user base but still i cannot compare both sites, since my toughts about cr3nch will remain the same.

I've made news posts at sites like this, news of homebrew releases and such. As long as the news was posted in the format that the admin/senior moderator liked to see it, then it was fine. I've never seen a post like this aimed at the way I posted news. Maybe "jennys" needs to get his (her) own website so things are done correctly.
