Hi!

This is my first post and to jailbreak my PS3. But I've caught a lil problem (well i hope it's little).

Following the 'Read Before Posting' POST, I've got the template filled up :D

Here I go:

What model number is your PS3?
CECH04 (60 GB) (Modified to 500GB)


What firmware is your PS3 on?
v3.55

Is it a hardware problem?
I do not think so.

Is it a software problem?
I'm not sure.

If it is a software problem, have you made sure that you have downloaded the latest version of this software?

Are you running CFW?
Yes.

What CFW are you running?
Kmeaw 3.55.

Is your console bricked?
No.

If so, do you know why it's bricked?

Have you ever downgraded your console with hardware flashers? (Teensy, ProgSkeet, E3 Flasher, etc...)
Nope, never.

Have you tried searching the forum for someone experiencing the same problem before posting?

Describe your problem:
I've installed the KMEAW 3.55 CFW PUP, and Multiman 04.05.00 Manager ONLY.

I have downloaded a torrent for a 'Fixed for KMEAW 3.55 Silent Hill Downpour'. Inside the RAR file is a folder (BLUS-30565) and inside it are TWO folders (PS3_GAME) and (PS3_DISC.SFB). I copied these two files into my External Hard Drive (Fat32) and made a GAMES folder in the root. Multiman recognizes the game, and I use COPY to copy it into my internal hard drive. When I tried to load, it just gives me a black screen (I waited for a full 50 minutes).

Second attempt: I deleted the copy and recopied it into the hard drive. NOT using Direct Boot, press LOAD and it brings me back to XMB - I tried opening the app_home folder, and it gives me a BLACK SCREEN, but if I press the PS button during the Black Screen - the first option i see is "Quit Game: Silent Hill Downpour" - that gives me a clue that the game 'maybe trying to load' I guess.

My end result is, only black screen, no sound

What have you tried to do to resolve this issue yourself:
I have tried Fixing Permissions from Multiman.
Chose Direct Boot option from Multiman.

No difference.

Any help or advice would be great! :D Thanks a lot!

i had the same problem with this game so i ran it through gaia manager and worked a treat took a while load up but it got there.

btw i run from external probably worth a try first.

step 1:- Load Game from Multiman

step 2 :- when u r back on xmb launch it

step 3 :- it take 10-15 minute then game data install automatically

Use google @thedarkzodiac and you will find more info. If this don't work.

What should show on XMB? A BD? I see nothing when back to XMB. Other than MM and App_home

Put a PS3 game in your PS3 drive and you will see the BD icon with silent hill on it, once you load it from mmCM.

Ps- can I run backups without having an Actual disc inside?

You should leave a disc in for maximum compatibility.

Make sure the game doesnt have an update higher than 3.55 though JUST IN CASE.

And um...is there like a thing I need to install to prevent it from updating?? all I Do is completely turn off the Internet connectivity from ps3 will that do?

Install a spoof and disconnect = 99% safe from accidental update along with a disc with a low fw update in the drive

So do I search for a '3.55 spoofer' ? Is that the term?
