4.23 Demo Mode
Hi Everyone,
I tried to be smart recently by jailbreaking my PS3 and as a result, I ended up on demo mode. I did a system update online thinking it will fix the problem but I ended up on 4.23 demo mode. I know how to unlock it but everytime I turn my console off I have to unlock it again. I just wanted it to go back to how it use to be and be careful if I decide to JB it again. So my question is this: Do I need to wait until Evil Corp comes out of OFW 4.23? If it does come out and I do a system update, will it restore my PS3 to retail version? Can anyone point me where I can have my PS3 serviced? I have a PS3 model CECH-2100a 80gb and I believe it is a slim. |

Lesson1: dont download ps3 system updates from youtube or any other shady place..
i hope you can downgrade with a flasher.. otherwise you are stuck.

There just is no jailbreak above 3.55 ...
You can unlock it by doing a demo firmware reverter. http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=41772 Don't think it will work.But hey, it doesn't hurt to ask does it? You should have come here instead of installing this dumb firmware. No offence ... BTW; you can't expect doing a system update will wipe it away ...

you are stuck Until 4.23 ofw comes out, yes it will come out, it wouldn't have been a 4.23 demo mode if 4.23 ofw will never be released.
Hope you learn that there is no jailbreak for 3.55+ as you might be stuck forever. |

ok u have to wait till 4,23 ofw cos there is not reverter . eg right now your on demo 4.23 fw well what u going to reverter back to 4.21 demo !! nope that would be downgrading and there no soft downgraing above 3.55
so u just have to sit and wait for 4.23 ofw so u can revert back to ofw . could be next week, could be next month , could be a few months the main thing it will come and u have your ps3 back to how it was . lesson learnt dont belive you tube or facebook . you found this site when u had this problem, maybe u found us too when u was looking for a jailbreak in the 1st place but didnt like that there want a jailbreak here above 3.55 neevr mind like i said 4.23 ofw will come . some point

I don't think there is a reverter as I spent hours looking for it. You guys are 100% correct! I should not have trusted youtube. They used to be reliable when it comes to these type of stuff. Im not sure how big my hdd is but I bought this at Best Buy in 2009. So when the OFW comes out my system will be okay?
